About Us

The International College of Makeni was established in 2018 as private learning institution in a bid to promote and foster quality education for the purpose of preparing and raising responsible future citizens with the required discipline to contribute toward national peace and development. It was registered with various line ministries and as well as corporate affairs. The establishment of the institution was in consonance with the need for a standard, reachable and affordable quality learning for primary, secondary and tertiary education as the case may be.

The school /college, which is co-educational in nature, follows the prescribed curriculum of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and seeks to promote tolerance and learning friendly atmosphere for all its pupils and students irrespective of their various backgrounds. Since its establishment, it has contributed a lot in the empowerment of children, youths educational achievements and learning thus create more access and university requirements for pupils in the past years especially in the sciences.

As a result of its excellent work coupled with the tremendous rise in pupils gaining university requirements in the sciences, high demand from parents, and the availability of adequate building structures, equipped science laboratory and the availability of qualified and quality human resource facilitated the expansion of programs in the medical and health sciences of the International College of Makeni. Our main trust is promoting youths and adult through applied sciences and practical’s program in the health and management sectors to achieve sustainable economic empowerment for all. ICOM is a pioneering institution, dedicated to creating and communicating knowledge and opportunities to ensure that all of our students excel within their chosen respective programs.

As an institution, we seek to make positive social contributions through Technical Health related trainings and engagements in rural and urban areas. We are engaged in research and scholarly inquiry, committed to advancing knowledge and dedicated to improving the practice of teaching and learning. We support our clients to attain qualifications that make them employable and contribute to the economic development of their communities and by extension the country. The institution also ensures that the marginalized sectors of the society, including women and youths get adequate representation in our courses while we foster transparency and uphold human rights in all activities we undertake.
